Witches Night Out

Halloween is definitely one of my all time favorite holidays! I love to decorate, dress up, eat lots of candy, carve pumpkins, etc. etc. etc. Every year my mom has a Witches Night Out party at her house... and let me tell you right now, it is AMAZING. Anyone who knows my mom knows she goes all out for everything. In the pictures below you'll see what I mean. She is soooo creative and is so amazing at what she does. She starts planning for this night months in advance and she has never ceased to disappoint.

Halloween Garland

This is kind of a different post than usual... but I was feelin' creative today and wanted to share! So I am one that literally goes all out for every holiday. I definitely got all my creativity/love for decor from my mama! I love to decorate and make my house look all cute for the holidays and Halloween is definitely one of my favorites! I get most of my holiday/home decor from Home Goods, Marshalls, Ross, Target, and my mom's basement. It is like walking into my own personal Home Goods when I walk into my mom's decor storage closet. Every year she seems to change things up a little bit and the stuff she doesn't use she gives to us girls. I sure love her.

Pease Family Cabin

Every year over Labor Day weekend, we take a trip up to the Pease Family Cabin! It was built a long time ago by my great-grandpa, and it's now a family tradition to go there with my mom's side of the family each year! It is a trip that I look forward to every single year. I grew up going there and have grown to love it so much.

1 Year of Complete Bliss

This post is SUPER late, but life can get so crazy sometimes! How has it already been one whole year (and a couple months...) since me and Andrew got married?!? Time has seriously FLOWN by. This past year has been the happiest year of my life. Everyone says that the first year is the hardest, but truthfully, this first year has been the best. Of course we have our ups and our downs, but doesn't everyone?! I wouldn't have wanted this first year to be any different. I have learned so much about Andrew, and SO much about myself.

Road Trip to Austin

Sooo I am still posting about our adventures in Texas... I promise I will eventually catch up and write about my current life, but until then.... enjoy! Our last weekend in Texas we wanted to go on a road trip. We had really wanted to go to Austin while we were there, so Austin it was! We booked an Airbnb, and headed off. It was me, Andrew, and Silvia. We met Silvia at the first Airbnb we stayed at in Texas. We stayed at her place for about a month and a half and in that time became life long friends! She's so awesome and we are so happy we met her. She literally planned something for us to do every weekend (how lucky are we?).

21st Birthday!

It has been a minute since I've updated my blog with the rest of our Texas adventures, so prepare for a little bit of an overload for the next couple days! On July 9th, I turned 21! Wahoo! Finally legal and more of an adult... right? Well I have the sweetest husband who made sure I had the best birthday down in good ole Texas. On the night before my birthday, Andrew took me to dinner at the Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas. If you haven't heard of it, it is a restaurant that is 560 feet in the air and slowly rotates in a circle. So basically you can see the entire city for miles and miles. It was the coolest place that I have ever ate at. The food was pretty darn good, but the dessert... oh my goshhhhh. We were so full from dinner but couldn't resist ordering the chocolate molten cake. It was ooey gooey goodness.

The Wild West

Hello friends & family! Texas is amazing. The heat?.....well that's a whole different story. I literally can't go outside for 5 seconds without sweating. The humidity is killin' me. I'm definitely looking forward to the dry heat in Utah. Can you believe we only have 5 WEEKS left of being here? I can't! This summer has gone by so fast. Time needs to just slow down a little. We still have so many places we want to go and things we want to do! Some fun places are are looking into exploring are Austin, New Orleans, and Oklahoma! But we shall see what Andrew plans for us ;) he is literally the best trip planner... just like his dad!

A Week Of Adventures

Hello! Or maybe I should start saying, hey ya'll! Andrew has started saying that and for some reason it drives me nuts! I promised him I wouldn't start saying it... but I guess we will see if it starts growing on me. Texas has been amazing so far. We have had quite the "vacation" (as I would call it). I swear every night we have plans to go somewhere or see something. In the past week we went to a festival in Grapevine, a Texas Rangers baseball game, a salsa festival at Klyde Warren Park, and top golf. I thought I hated golfing until I went to top golf! It was seriously so much fun, I highly recommend it. I guess they just barely opened one in Salt Lake City, so Andrew and I are super excited to check it out when we get home!

Moving To Texas

Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge

Hello! Welcome to my first blog post! My name is Madison (Strahm) Silotti. I decided to create this blog as a little diary to document my husband and I and all of our married couple adventures! Here's a glimpse into what you'll see on my blog, and I'm excited to see how it adapts over time!

Andrew (my hubs) is getting his MBA at the University of Utah and decided to take on an internship with IBM in Coppell, Texas. His internship is only for the summer so we won't be here permanently, but we are excited for all the fun adventures this summer will bring! Here is a lil' run down of our past week!
